Will world war three come?

In view of the fact the WWIII will be global suicide, you can count on it never happening.  All you'll see is regional wars, proxy wars, conflicts between rump states, brinksmanship and sabre rattling.  Of course, an accidental launch by one the super powers could spark WWIII and that can happen at any time.  It nearly happened on at least 20 occasions during the Cold War.

I don't think that will happen any time in the near future.  Iran is not going to go to war with the U.S. and Israel unless the entire Arab world is backing them.  That isn't likely to happen since all of the leaders in that region are basically self preservationists, they won't go to war because if they lose they lose everything.  Also I doubt the militant feeling is as strong in Iran as it was 30 years ago so the majority of the country is likely to oppose war.

I have a personal belive that there will be world war three. I don't know when or how it will come about. I agree that it will be the us and Israel.

To add to "It's not you, it's me"... What is so frightening to us who lived through the Cold War is the fact that so many Countries now possess nuclear weaponry. And that doesn't count the ones who are suspected of having it.

I personally believe it will start in the Middle East - but it won't matter in the end - because it will be THE END.

Rent and watch "On the Beach" - Gregory Peck, Ava Gardner, et al, if you can obtain it. Most frightening movie I've ever seen. That's how I think it will all end.

ASH - Why do you assume it will be the United States, Israel...? It could, and most likely will, originate in the former Soviet Satellites or "Russia" itself. I'm not being racist. If anything, your comment could be construed as racist, or at a minimum anti-American.
