I know you're all rooting for your own team and all, which is great. But the Rays finished their last road trip 7-3 and beat the Angels last night. All WITHOUT Longoria and Crawford. They're youth and inexperience with winning doesn't seem to be bothering them.

  1. Without Percival too. I'd be a bit surprised because Percival is a big part of their bullpen. Plus, Kazmir isn't doing so well. However, they can easily do it with the lead given to them right now. Would I be very surprised? No. But a bit? yes

  2. This team poses a serious threat in the AL. I wouldn't judge their play vs. Angels. Yes Rays don't have Longoria, but the Angels right now are cold, losing 4 of their last 5. When Angels are hot they can disappoint the Rays.

  3. No.

They're a great young team.  They've got the stuff to do it.  I wouldn't be surprised at all.

  4. Nope.  Kudos to them and their REAL non-bandwagon fans.

  5. by the way they're shutting down the angels these past few days.. heck no

  6. They won't win. They are pulling **** out of there asses right now, and eventually there will be nothing else to take out of there and they will crumple. I feel that they will finish third in the AL East. Their team is too young, and has no expierence of being in a Race in the last few weeks, and that will blow their chances of winning.

  7. I'll be surprised & if they do i will congratulate them & their real fans who have supported them from the very beginning.

  8. They wont win the division. Something is going to put them down & bring them back to earth. They are not nearly as good of a team as there record shows. Just give it time.

  9. Heck no I've been preaching their skills since June while the naysayers have been saying "It's early". Funny stuff!!!

  10. no i wouldnt.

they have other players besides longoria and crawford that have helped the team win

  11. no they r a beast of a team

  12. No and experience is over-rated.  Bobby Jenks was a Rookie with only 6 Season Saves when he got his 4 Saves in the Playoffs, 2 of which were Saves in the World Series.

  13. At this point nothing they do this year would surprise me.

  14. I will be shocked.  They've never faced any pressure.  But the last time they came to Yankee Stadium, it was the two most important games in the history of the franchise, and they scored 1 run in 19 innings.  This tells me that, if either the Yanks or Red Sox get close, they'll fold like a guy who tried to fill an inside straight.  If neither gets close, and the Rays do win the Division, they will get shredded in the Playoffs.

  15. No.  They are for real and have stayed in the hunt thusfar so think they are a force to consider recoging with and think they will be the winner in the long run.
