Will you be hired at abercrombie if you're not pretty?

I am looking for a first-ever job, I'm 18. I want to work in retail(I have heard the complaints, but I am interested). I was considering abercrombie and fitch but I went to their 5th Avenue flagship in NYC yesterday and I felt kind of out-of-place w/all the good-looking people working there.

Please answer if you work/have worked at Abercrombie. I'm skinny, but I'm not very pretty... probably average-looking and I'm very short(not like the tall chicks I see working there). Should I even bother to try? Are the managers basically going to laugh me out of the store? I guess they'd hire ppl w/no experience if they're beautiful, so idk if I have much of a chance.... HELP!

It doesnt matter what you look like as long as you look presentable, keep your nails nice, hair, skin, clothing. I went into the GS-raw the other day an there was this girl at the checkout, she was so ugly but was wearing nice clothes, she looked presentable but confortable at the same time, customers wont approach u if u dont look confortable and on edge. She was also wearing a pair of GS jeans so maybe you should get some abercrombie clothes if u dont already. And just be confident and friendly that will make you pretty no matter what you look like :). Hope this helps and good luck!
