Will you be surprised if USA does not get the gold?

Its not going to be as easy as many think.....specially after watching last 2 games...

OQ- How many games will they lose?

No, it wouldn't be surprising because we haven't won in a while and the world has gotten so much better and they play the international rules much better than we do.  We rely on our athleticism and size but the international rules negate a lot of that.  All it takes is a bad shooting night from us and any country can win.

If Carmelo is your leading rebounder the last 2 games then you are having some hustle problems.  Everyone is looking to get theirs.  You have 3 black holes on that team w/ Kobe, Redd, and Carmelo.  Those 3 have to play team ball and they will win.

Howard, Bosh, Prince and Boozer got to do the dirty work.  That's why they are on the team and no one else will do it.

I wouldn't be surprised.  They only have one Center on the roster so there are several teams who can overmatch the USA in the paint.  I can see them losing at least 1 other game in the "first to 8 wins" format if they have an off-night shooting 3's too.

Look at China's roster for example - Yao will have at least a 6" - 7" height advantage against the tallest US player guarding him for the entire game and a guy like Yi Jianlian is also going to be significantly taller than anyone guarding him, especially when he's on the floor at the same time as Yao.  Howard can't guard two 7-footers by himself!

not really, i think as a team, usa does not have the best team.  individual players, yea definitely but i think spain and argentina have a better team, who fill tehir positions with people who actually know their roles.

i believe spain is the main team that poses a big threat though.

The US team is more interested in flashy play than it is in actual teamwork.  We have an AWESOME team, they play together and they'll be unstoppable.

Not really surprised, but this is the most cohesive team in 15 years.  Everyone has to keep in mind that the US National Team has lost 6 times with NBA players representing them since 2002.

Argentina twice, Spain, Yugoslavia, Puerto Rico, and Greece.
