Question:

Will you give me some ideas of what to write for a book?

I love fantasy (usually with action, romance, and adventure). That is my genre. The problem is that every time I start to write or get inspiration to write, it's similar to something I've either just read or seen. :( I'm not a big fan of fanfictions/parody's either...

I'd like something original to write about. Any ideas?

  1. Read non-fiction to get ideas. Ecology books might help with setting (designing your world) and sociology books might help with how characters interact.

You might also read something like Popular Mechanics to see what the latest inventions are.

To make sure your characters don't just travel from one battle to the next, make sure they have a goal before you start writing.

  2. try to just find something different. or maybe u shod just rite the book and try to make it different, hav a friend look ovr it and tell u to change some of the parts which r way to similar to another book

  3. The most original theme you can write about is your life.  No one else has command of that material, whether the treatment is factual or fantastic.  Forget the influences of what you've recently heard or seen.  Stick to the most dramatic events of YOUR story.  Enhance them, if you choose, with personal reflections.  The result can be a surprisingly engaging treatment, whether you're doing an autobiography or a novel.  It is sure to be original; the rest will depend on your skill as a writer.
