I sent a thousand dollars of my hard earned money to the New Orleans Katrina victims the day after it hit.  Meanwhile, I too live in hurricane territory and had damages on my own home.  I guess that makes me pretty stingy.

If you mean "liberally" like liberals, NO.  Liberals have a tendency to stand around waiting for the government to solve things.

Conservatives are known for being the most generous "giving liberally" in situations like this.

"Liberals" got their name for thinking the GOVERNMENT should be giving liberally.

conservatives are more charitable across the board, especially christians, they give their money, and more importantly, their time.

Hopefully there won't be any victims now that a Republican Gov is doing what the the Dems Blanco and Nagin failed to do.

Which "victims" would that be, People that built homes below sea level, or those to stupid to head the warnings and leave?

If it is really disasterous, I will do something...

But probably not donate money because you can't really trust that it gets to the right people...

I may open up my house to displaced victims though... My friend did that for a single mom during Katrina and it was very much appreciated.
