  1. yes thats fine, just give him 20 mins then place him back in the viv! then leave  (which i am sure you know that anyway)  him for 24 hours, hope this helped....good luck!

  2. ok when feeding a snake the time to lift up the snake is after you no when he lifts his head up to start pushing it down? and then he goes back down and sits for a sec u can pick him up after he starts to move again cause that means that he has gotten it to his stomach then you put him straight back in the cage and increase temp for the day

  3. hi there. I know when i feed *Elvis* I can put him from the Box i feed him in... back into his tank and he is ok with it. he is 2 foot 6 inches right now.he does not seem to mind. I always talk to him not that he knows what I am saying, but i always tell him... Im not allowed to hold you too much today... you just ate as i am carefully getting him out of the box into his tank.. He seems to be ok with me holding him the few seconds.

After he is into his tank, i leave him there and then the next day i am holding him. He seems to be doing ok with me holding him the following day. I dont see anything wrong with how you are doing it. Each snake is different they all have different personalities...

    good luck and enjoy him!

  4. Yes, it's fine to pick him up to put him back in his tank. Usually I wait until the food item is fully in the belly and then pick up the snake. Many will continue to have a feeding response so make sure you don't get bitten.  Pythons and other snakes should be given a minimum of 48-72 hours to digest depending upon the size of the food item.

  5. If he is feeding fine in a seperate container then that is fine, make sure you leave him for 30 minutes or so before you pop him back in his vivarium.  Then do not handle him for at least 24 hours (48 if its a large meal).

Personally I would not feed him in the bath tub though, I would use one of the underbed storage boxes with the clip on lids, that way you do not have to sit by his side for half an hour after he has fed in case he slithers off.

There are also too other possible problems that may arrise feeding in the bath tub.  The first is that there is a small risk of salmonella from snake faeces and reptile skin, so ensure the bath is cleaned down with a good discinfectant post feeding.  Also bath tubs have a lot of chemical residue in them that could have dire affects if ingested by the ball python on the food (eg shampoos, body washes, cleaning agents, etc.)
