I'm not doing alterations. or paying someone to do them. I'm not asking for you to try to talk me into getting it altered. I simply want help pinning it up. there are pics at myspace.com/w3bflydotcom1 under my dress in the photos. If your not going to look at the dress, or suggest ways to pin it then move along, your answer isnt helpful.

Sorry to sound B-itchie... but I'm sick of people not answering the question asked

  1. Go to your local fabric store and buy yourself fabric adhesive tape and iron it on...it may hold considering you do not want to have it professionally altered!  Best of Luck!

  2. hi

i went to you myspace.com/w3bflydotcom1 page and couldn't find your wedding dress photos..

    anyways..

i think you should make it look 'fitted' but not tight..and if you make it tighter try and sit down in it and make sure that your are comfortable and the dress doesn't get all scrunched up.

  3. Turn the dress inside out.  Measure evenly and mark on each side seam then either sew by hand or use safety pins on the line you marked to make the seams bigger.  You want to take it in from each side not the back otherwise it will look funny.

  4. ok so do you need help with taking the sides in or hemming it?

  5. As another poster indicated, you should take the dress in from the side seams.  Try it on and have someone pin it along the sides where you want it taken in.  Then you need to turn the dress inside out and either pin or stitch in new seams.  It's really not that difficult, but it is time consuming if you having done it before...  My seamstress is doing a bit of that for me and it's only costing about $20.

    Best wishes!!!!!!

  6. No, we won't because it's a bad idea. We're trying to be helpful.

Besides, you don't want it pinned up, you want it taken in, there's a big difference. Where do you want it taken in? What is the material? What are the seams in the bodice like? Is there boning?

If you don't give any information we can't tell you anything.

  7. Perhaps you’d get answers if responders knew what you meant. Could you elaborate on what you mean by “pinning it up?” Are you talking about bustling it?
