Will you help me understand this please?

Question

Im trying to install ubuntu on my other computer. I burned it to a cd and got to the part where you click install but it wont go past 15%. So im trying it on a usb drive but i dont understand what this means https://help.ubuntu.com/8.04/installation-guide/i386/boot-usb-files.html . The part where you enter commands(the parts in the light brown boxes on that website) where do i put that?

You do that on the Terminal, click on System > Terminal

Those are command line syntax
