Will you please help me find a pet?

Question

I live in Alaska and I want to find a unique pet. I caught wind that we are not to permitted to own any exotic pets up here, so that is out of question. I can't own anything with hair because I room with someone who has allergies. [No Cats or Dogs]

So I'm looking for something that is unique, but small.

Maybe a fish or something?

Chinese crested dogs have no hair, there's also a hairless cat! If you want an interactive hairless pet it's going to be hard for you. Reptiles, fish, insects, and most rodents and rabbits merely tolerate us humans. Some people love birds, not me...THEY BITE!!! The only birds I do like are chickens...really they make wonderful pets, have not hair, come in a variety of colors and sizes, and will lay an egg a day for your breakfast!!!...Or the hairless dog.

well... if you into anything... try hairless animals... i dont have any or ever been around any but i hear they can be quite nice... or look into dogs that are good on allergies... i am not sure but i think bishon frise's are one of those dogs that have no affect on allergies... but ya i know there is a lot of cats and dogs like that.. but also i would look into the exotic pet thing in alaska.. and see what you can have.. i am sure you can have the smaller.. and pets you keep in the house...

box turtles are great :)

theyre nice, theyre quiet, they dont eat much, theyre clean, and they have no hair. oh and they live a long time

a gecko is a good choice.  they are hardy, easy to care for, and how cute is that gecko from geico? :)

A guinea pig! They aren't too much work, they are really cute, and usually friendly! You can buy all kinds of toys for them too :) And I doubt they are permitted to own there, because they aren't really exotic.

Guinea pigs are like cats but in a small package!

Fish are boring. Snakes are good, but they can be expensive to set up with all the bits they need. I personally love Stick insects, they very unique and need little care, but be careful not to get a mating pair as they breed like rabbits!!

I loved my Guinea pig, she had a great personality. Just make sure you research whatever pet you decide on, check your local shelter to see what they have available, they often carry more than just dogs and cats. Good Luck!!!
