The Mark of the Beast comes from the last book of the Bible, Revelation. It's referred to in a number of places, but the major passage of description is Revelation 13:16-18:

I would not wear anything that bore three sixes even if it were totally coincidental. It would be an affront to my religious beliefs. Jews do not eat pork even if many acknowledge that there is not anything fundamentally wrong with pork, likewise a Hindu beef. Why should Christians be mocked for their sensitivities?
