Will you write your representatives?

if you are discussed with our rep. some who have been in office since the gold rush,don't sit on your *** and complain..do something,be like me contact your representatives and let em know.it's not a waste of time,sooner or later they'll get the message and stop sending you automated e-mail response and give you a personal reply..example..this is a true comment i finally recieved from our representative in the 4th district (make sure you contact the right rep.). in regards of the gov.doing something about the energy and rising fuel vrs. price gouging i demanded an investigation and the response was .."I HARDLY THINK THE PRICE OF CRUDE BARREL OIL WILL EVER EXCEED $65.00 A BARREL AND MR.STEVE I DON'T KNOW WHERE YOU GET YOUR INFORMATION BUT IT WILL NEVER SOAR ABOVE THIS AMOUNT. THANK YOU FOR YOUR INTEREST IN CONTACTING ME. jep, this was the reply,and the date was 2 years ago!...makes me feel a lot better!!! don't waste your time..first rule of politics..always lie to the people and tell them "WHAT THEY WANT TO HEAR.

I agree. Writing to the reps and then MAKING THE RESPONSE PUBLIC is powerful stuff! People need to know what kind of dirtbag they may have elected.

I totally agree with you and find the same when I write to our Representatives in office.  Normally however, we just get a "trite form letter" back.  I don't think my Representatives really care what his/her constituents actually think........that is my opinion anyways.  I wish for the day when someone will run AGAINST these representatives.  I also strongly believe our Representatives SHOULD HAVE A SET AGE TO RETIRE.............since ours have been in office way too long.  I also strongly believe that IF any political representative is found guilty of ANY CRIME, that their so called taxpayer pension plans should be REVOKED!!!!

If you put enough pressure on the bums they will respond!  Especially so if they fear getting the boot.  Man, their jobs must have a lot of hidden perks beyond their regular pay because they sure fear nothing more than losing their position of power.  Gee, I wonder how many have secret bank accounts in Switzerland and the Cayman Islands.

I have.  I think enough people did (on the Iran blockade resolution) that it actually made some difference.  Absolutely I've never seen the guy responsive to voters before.  But the election is near and Congressional ratings are low, and frankly, I'd vote for most people against him at this point.
