breast lift if it's because you lost a lot of weight after surgery? I know some do I am just trying to figure of if they see that as cosmetics even if you have lost an excessive amount of weight.

  1. Because your surgery is needed for cosmetic reasons, the vast majority of insurers won't cover such a procedure.  In order for a procedure like this to be covered, it must be medically necessary AND the policy must provide a benefit for the surgery (some insurers exclude breast reductions from coverage, whether they're medically necessary or not).

  2. Fewer and fewer companies are  covering cosmetic surgery.

But if your surgeon would certify that if it is not done it poses a hazard to your health, then.........maybe.

Last summer I had a condition which  was almost cosmetic in nature, but my surgeon convinced them it would pose a hazard if not done.   They approved it. Talk to your surgeon.

  3. You will have a hard time getting covered for that as you will have to prove medical necessity first.
