Willi Weber wishes to manage the new champ Sebastian Vettel
Willi Weber, Formula One’s most famous manager proclaimed earlier today that he would love to take the new world champion, Sebastian Vettel under his umbrella.
Weber is famous for being one of the most outstanding managers ever in the series. He was famous for handling the career of Michael Schumacher. During his dazzling first career, Weber was famous for taking 20 per cent of the lucrative earnings of the
most successful (statistically) racer ever in the sport’s history. The German won seven World Championships in his career, out of which five were bagged consecutively from 2000 to 2004. During his peak days, the driver not only ruled every single track he
entered, rather he conquered the hearts of all his fans and was the star of every event that took place. Weber is the man who helped him create this spell and mania even when he was off the track.
While talking about the next Formula One grid, the multi millionaire, Weber believes that the 2011 season is going to be every exciting and entertaining. He sees several strong racers on the track this season but believes that Fernando Alonso, Lewis
Hamilton and Sebastian Vettel are the men to watch. He further added that these are currently the best drivers in Formula One and will offer a real nerve tickling treat to the race fans this year.
When the 68-year-old was asked if he would want to manage any of the top three racers, he replied, "Vettel, of course."
The Red Bull driver, Vettel bagged the first Championship of his career, a month before Christmas. This victory has changed the career as well as the life of the German. After winning the last race of the season, the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix, Vettel became
the youngest World Champion in 60 years of the sport, breaking the record of Hamilton who became the youngest racer ever to grab a title in 2008.
The 23-year-old, and now the 60th World Champion of Formula One, claims that he has never had a full-time manager all through his career. Most of his contracts and deals are taken care of by his lawyer, while for other important
decisions he depends upon his father, Norbert Vettel.
However, Weber stated, “Now he needs a manager more than ever, because he needs to sell his success. It's all about the money he can make outside of the cockpit now," he added.”
