Part of the Royal Navy's job is to capture ships at sea off the South American coast and in the Carribean, which are thought to be or are known to be carrying drugs.

Thankfully the RN is successful in this enterprise and continues it's good work on behalf of our nation.

In the 19thC - the Royal Navy was charged by Parliament to stop and board slave ships leaving Africa for the United States of America - it was successful but could not stop all of the slave ships.
