William Hill Hotbox Bet Stakes to take place at New Castle on Wednesday – Greyhound Racing Preview
Newcastle is scheduled to host many interesting races on Wednesday, February 8, 2012. The list of planned meetings includes William Hill Hotbox Bet Stakes, to be held at 13:12 (local time).
The 480 metre long Grade A1 has attracted six rampant hounds including Southwest Senor, Bandicoot Bonnie, Lil Phoenix, Vicarage Cruiser, Lanesdown Geordy, and Ballymac Nap.
According to the betting forecast, Lanesdown Geordy is the most preferred hound, carrying the winning chances of 9 to 4.
Despite the fact the blue and white dog has not been winning for last couple of weeks, his fans have plenty of reasons to put their money on him.
Droopys Kewell’s son, out of Lanesdown Think made his last outing on February 4, when he could only manage to seal fourth place on the table.
In his second last race, he ended up at third place. Following his two ordinary performances, it would be a tough decision for the spectators to support him. However, nobody can ignore his excellent past records.
On January 19, the youngster demonstrated a brilliant run, clinching the top position by a head’s margin. The dog was favourite one for that race, and he performed up to expectations.
Although, Lanesdown Geordy is anticipated to salvage the respect he lost because of his previous two defeats, the rest of the line-up will give him a tough time.
Many analysts are rating Southwest Senor, quite high for this race, as the white and brindle hound is due to perform well after his sixth position in the previous heat.
Considering his enormous talent, one can expect him to play a part in the outcome. Bandicoot Bonnie won her previous contest, but that was a Grade A2 heat. Therefore, it will be an entirely different story this time around, and only an upset can take
the b***h to victory.
Lil Phoenix is lacking in early pace these days, and will have to make an early impression to do something different in the competition. Vicarage Cruiser, who is holding the odds of 11 to 4, will be a huge threat to the favourite. Ballymac Nap is the
3 to 1 chance holder, and will be one of the dangerous hounds.
Another 480 metre long race is scheduled to set off soon after the William Hill Hotbox Bet Stakes. According to the plan, the Grade A3 heat will kick off at 13:27 (local time). Among the participants are Target Salsa, Springwell Bolt, Black Judiciary,
Breedas Beauty and Bunkered.
The contest has, Target Salsa as the 5 to 2 favourite. The black dog is in fine rhythm at the moment, and has a huge chance to down the event.
After a few rough runs recently, confidence can be, Springwell Bolt’s, one big issue. Black Judiciary and Breedas Beauty are also enjoying decent winning chances, and expected to finish at least among the top-3.
Meanwhile, Bunkered is aiming to spring up a surprise, but it will not be a cake walk for Brett Lee’s son, out of Shanless Lady.
