  1. I am going to choose Shakespeare. Not really because he is more popular, but I just really like Othello and Much Ado about Nothing.

  2. Though I really like Don Quixote, I would have to pick William Shakespeare over Miguel de Cervantes.

Shakespeare left us such a large body of work, each wonderful in its own way. He shows the entire range of human nature and does it in such a witty and wise way; he's tough to beat.

  3. If I could read Cervantes in the original Spanish my opinion might be different, but since i am better equipped to appreciate Shakespeare I happily choose him.

  4. Tiebreaker!!

I really enjoy a lot of Shakespeare's works, but I truly loved Don Quixote!!!

So I don't think I could pick one over the other.

  5. I'll go with Shakespeare, as translations will always suffer in comparison.
