Williams confirm 2013 driver line-up – Formula 1 news
Williams have confirmed their driver line-up for the 2013 Formula 1 season which includes one of their current drivers, Pastor Maldonado and the reserve driver, Valtteri Bottas.
Maldonado has not been able to attain competitive results in this season and has faced immense difficulties during the races. Moreover, he has caused many accidents in this season because of which he has received a lot of criticism over his aggressive driving
style.
On the other hand, his teammate, Bruno Senna also failed to achieve desired results for his team and has struggled in most of the races until now.
However, the Grove based team has dropped Senna and has kept the Venezuelan driver who has brought them a grand prix win after a long time in this season.
Moreover, there have been many speculations that Williams will give Bottas a race seat in the next season which have proven right as the Finnish driver will race along with Maldonado in the coming year.
Team principal, Sir Frank Williams has said that they have full confidence in their next year’s driver line-up and they are looking forward to attain competitive results in the coming season. In addition, he said that the Finn has got some amazing talent
and will surely prove their decision right.
Furthermore, he said that they wish the Brazilian driver best of luck for the future and praised his contributions for the team until now.
''In Pastor and Valtteri we have two of the most exciting talents in motor racing and I am especially excited about what 2013 can bring for Williams," Williams said. "Pastor has always demonstrated remarkable pace and this year has seen him mature as a racing
driver. Valtteri is quite simply one of the most talented young racing drivers I have come across and we expect great things from him in future. I would also like to take this opportunity to thank our departing driver Bruno Senna for his hard work over past
year and wish him best of luck going forward.''
It will be very exciting to see how the British team performs in the next season with Maldonado and Bottas.
