Swansea City defender, Ashley Williams, has revealed in his book that he never liked playing against Luis Suarez and termed the Uruguayan International as a diver.
The Welsh footballer’s comments about the striker are likely to flare up the heat between http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Liverpool-c39809 and the Swans ahead of their league clash on Sunday at the Liberty Stadium.
Suarez, who has been in the midst of controversies since his move to Premier League in January 2011, has recently been accused by scores of managers and players of deliberately going down to the ground to win the decisions in his favour.
Earlier, Stoke City manager, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Tony-c35440 Pulis, had described the striker as a cheat, calling upon the FA to take punitive measures against him.
Williams is now the latest to join the ranks of those who do not carry charitable views about Suarez.
In his book My Premier League Diary, the defender labelled the forward as a ‘diver’, claiming that he was one of the most controversial figures in the English league.
He also opined that the 25-year old thinks too much of himself, and revealed that he treated all the Swansea players with contempt the last time the two sides played against each other.
“Suarez has that aura about him that says 'I'm untouchable,” he told the reporters in an interview.
“I'd go as far as to say that the manner in which he approached the game, with utter contempt for us all, means that he's streets ahead of any player I've truly disliked since we've been in the Premier League.”
“I don't like the superior manner he brings on the field with him. Basically I have no time for the guy at all.”
Despite taking the stick from crowds from across http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/England-c749, the striker enjoys the complete support of his manager, Brendan Rodgers, who earlier said that he plans on building his team around him.
The mercurial hit-man has already hit the back of the net ten times in league matches this term – more than any other player in the competition. He is expected to receive yet another hostile reception from the fans on Sunday, and he might even refuse to
shake hands with Williams in the pre-match ceremony.
