I mean, they are in their 20s, they have millions of dollars, a combined 14 grandslams singles(4get slams they teamed up to win)-definitely a lot more than most of players of their generation.

What's so wrong about 'having a life' besides tennis. In a few years they gonna retire and there's no denying the fact that they gonna have a lot to fall back on.Unlike other players who dedicate all their life to tennis only to retire tommorow with no life at all outside of the tennis court.

I personally think people are making a big deal out of a totally healthy lifestyle.

  1. I think it's a real shame that people criticize the Williams sisters.   I'm especially mad at Chris Evert and others who said that Serena Williams could be one of the best female tennis players if she would play more.

Like...who do they think they are to tell Serena what to do with her life?  Did Chris Evert and others go to L.A. to recruit and train the William sisters.  And I surely didn't see them in my poor neighborhood when I was practicing on our raggedy school court with inferior equipment.

The truth is that Venus and Serena wouldn't be where they are without their father...and their mother...and they've turned out a lot better than other privileged tennis players.

These people need to keep their condescending mouths shut and their uppity ideas to themselves.!

  2. You know what the issue is. You just don't want to face it. Ask their dad, he will gladly explain it to you.

  3. I honestly think these two sisters are more talented than they even know.  They really do not play a lot and I think because they have seen future players end up being broke and down after their career is over.  They end up doing far too many other things instead of just focusing on a few and excelling.  They can play way into their thirty's if they get themselves in shape and are healthy but they have so many other things going on they can't get it together.  I love to watch them play and they are doing very well.
