William’s team under pressure: Formula 1 News
Williams’ driver Rubens Barrichello has said that due to some reliability issues with the fraction of floor burning and tyres' degradation, their team is under pressure.
Williams’ team had faced a hectic pre-season calendar. Its 38-year-old driver felt positive chances about the team, as his target was to get to the top ten grid positions and score good set of points in the season’s remaining races.
In the start of 2011 season, Barrichello stated that he and his team are in much better shape to perform well on the ground as compared to the last year’s season and they are ready to give it.
However, due to their poor start to this period, they cannot achieve their planned targets. Still Williams didn’t lose their hope and has full faith in his team's abilities. They felt that it is important to encourage the team members and sponsors, so that
they would try hard to reduce their pressure which would bring improvement to their point scoring finishes.
The Brazilian said, "That's what motivates people that are what motivates drivers, and motivates the sponsors to keep paying the bills and so on. Right now there's a bit too much pressure on all of us because of not having scored point. If that thing worked
we might be able to help ourselves."
He believes that their team is facing pressure because of their poor performance in the start. But this pressure can be reduced, if they gain their point scores in Sunday race.
Regardless of its disappointing start, the team thinks that there are many races ahead, so the Brazilian doesn’t fear that this team cannot score points. He believes Williams are going to do better on the grid.
They are going to set their goals again as were planned in the start. However the fact that frightens him the most is that these plans are far and away. Williams’ group is heading to improve their performance on the updates coming to the Spain’s circuit.
It will be interesting to see how Williams perform on Sunday race, among the strong contenders of Formula 1.
