  1. heeeeeell nah! this is brooklyn, NEW YORK. everybodys an a*****e. well, most of them.

  2. Depends the Hasidim keep to themselves and the PsuedoHipsters with trust funds will only talk to their fellows. Good Kosher food and good psuedo hipster food.

  3. The area was largely Hasidic, a community that largely keeps to itself, to the exclusion of others.  Now there is an overflow from Manhattan by people seeking relief from Manhattan real estate prices.  By train it is a very short ride away.

You will not find the Hasidim to be friendly at all. and the others, some yes, some no.  There has been a good amount of interesting restaurants opening in the area, see the link below.  The next town to the north is Greenpoint , which has long been a Polish enclave and good Polish food can be had there.

  4. yes brooklyn (especially williamsburg) is really friendly and safe. the majority is mainly between 25 and 70 i would say. its got some great restaurants, but the shopping could be better
