Willie Mullins hot favourite for Cheltenham Festival’s Top Trainer Betting
Veteran trainer, Willie Mullins is likely to grab more victories than anyone else during next month’s Cheltenham Festival.
The great handler has an army of rampant geldings and all of his trainees are in good position for the upcoming extravaganza.
The mega event is round the corner and the Top Trainer Market has appeared as one of the most fascinating bets for the punters.
According to the betting forecast, Mullins is enjoying the highest odds of winning.
Bet365 has given him a starting price of 5/4 whereas the experienced man is carrying same odds with William Hill.
It is going to be a tough clash between the greats like Mullins, Paul Nicholls and Nicky Henderson.
Mullins has an obvious chance of winning, as all of his horses are in good rhythm at the moment.
Meanwhile, the best of his string will be ridden by Ruby Malsh – a famous jockey with a wonderful track record at Cheltenham.
Mullins will start his Cheltenham journey with the Grade 1 William Hill Supreme Novices' Hurdle on March 13, 2012.
Along with Simenon, Allure Of Illusion, Sous Les Cieux and Terminal, nine fast and furious contenders will represent Mullins in the opening contest.
Likewise, the experienced trainer has a strong representation in all other competitions.
With an in-form line-up under Ruby Walsh, it would be no surprise for the bookmakers to see Mullins claiming big titles in the festival.
Another trainer who has decent chances is Mullins’ British counterpart, Paul Nicholls.
The William Hill King George VI Chase winner will also fancy his chances. The Ditcheat Trainer has been dominating horse racing events in United Kingdom (UK) over the last few years and will step into the big event with bright chances.
Hence, it will not be wrong to say that Nicholls is all set to spoil Mullins’ party.
Nicholls has a powerful battalion of horses who will invade in the field with a lot of hopes. He will be represented by many speedy contenders including Kauto Star and Big Bucks.
Nicky Henderson is another strong contender for this year’s Top Trainer award.
Like Mullins and Nicholls, he has plenty of ammunition in his bag. The list of Henderson’s potential runners comprises of many talented colts including Long Run.
The seven-year-old gelding is looking in great position to seal his second consecutive win in the Gold Cup.
The Seven Barrows trainer’s chances cannot be overlooked but it will be an uphill task for him to challenge Mullins’ dominance.
Final Prediction
Each of the aforementioned trio has good chances and the Top Trainer betting is shaping up to be the most exciting market.
According to our prediction, there will be a tug of war between Willie Mullins and Paul Nicholls.
However, considering the strength of his line-up, Mullins can easily be declared favourite.
