  1. The true answer to this question is ... it depends.

Willie is the ultimate "feast or famine" RB.  He can get you 3 points one week and 34 the next.

So, if you have a good, solid team, then you can start Parker every week and win a lot of games.

But, if the other players on your team are not very good, then you cannot afford to have Parker because you do not know when to start him.

That is, could you really afford to start a guy who scored 3 or 4 points the last two weeks if your team is not very good?  No.  But then when you sit him, he scores 28 ... for your bench because you had to sit him.

  2. It depends where U rate him...

On my cheatsheet he's the 25th best running back with a BUST tag next to his name.(You can get the same,or customized free cheatsheet at) http://www.cheatsheetwarroom.com

    ~Good Luck!~

  3. i think he is rated fine. he is a good rb has very good numbers probably top 10 rb in the league. he just got hurt last year so that might take some people out of it for picking him other then that no he doesnt get that much hype and legend status like tomlinson . but also tomlinson is the best rb in the league rit now

  4. I think he will be this year. The Steelers drafted R.Mendenhall in rd.1 for a reason. I'm sure it wasn't to sit on the bench. Parker is an explosive back that can break a long TD on any given play, and he is a good receiving threat out of the backfield. However,he is not a good short yardage and goal line back. I see Pittsburgh using Mendenhall in these situations and that spells doom for Parker.

The Steelers are supposed to use the old pony backfield this year like they did in the days of Harris and Blier.

I don't think Parker will get enough touches on a weekly basis to warrant a RB1 tag this year.

  5. No, I don't think he is.  He is just in the wrong place at the wrong time.  He started carrying the Steelers offense right around the time where they switched to more of a passing offense.  And he was the NFL rushing leader until the last week of the season when he went down with a broken leg.  Under Bill Cowher, he would have had many more scoring opportunities.  It's really to bad for him.  He's still a very talented RB.
