What is Wilmslow like to live in? Is there much crime or is it safe?

Is it attractive? Many jobs/industry there? How close it to nice countryside(as well as the peak district) and how quickly can you get into Manchester?

How good are the sporting facilities, parks, nightlife and schools there?

  1. wimslow is a very nice area of manchester, it is one of the upper class areas , it is not near the lakes/d, but has pretty surroundings like water parks, many nice pubs, it takes about half hour 2get in2 manchester city centre, where the night life is ravin. wimslow is safe

  2. i live close to wilmslow. its a nice place to live. loads of bars, also very close to manchester for a proper night out. crime must be low because its quite posh. very footballers wives. (lots of premier league players live around wilmslow).

lots of big companies in the vicinity i.e, Astrazeneca.

schools im guessing will be good. it has a leisure centre, and of course theres the higher end health clubs etc if thats what your after.

lots of restaurants, nice town centre, although not that great for shopping. but as i said manchester is close.

countryside is very close, and beautiful. youve got alderley edge about half a mile away, which has forest walks, stunning views etc.

manchester is about 10 mins away on the train, and about 20-25 mins away by car.

    hope that helped!

  3. Housing is expensive. Shops not brilliant but there is a huge Marks and Spencer about 2 miles away, also John Lewis 4 miles away. Good private and state schools. Good doctors' practice. NHS dentists! Plenty of hairdressers and beauticians. I've lived here for 25 years and love it.
