Wilshere in line for England call
Arsenal’s teenage sensation, Jack Wilshere who plays in a midfield position, is currently being lined up for a shock call up. The player might be in line for his first senior team appearance for the national team. This move only shaped up after the teenager was left out of Stuart Pearce’s U21 England squad. It is rumoured that he was left out of the squad by Pearce after Capello asked him to, so that he could call the player up to play for the senior team.
The reason that Wilshere can’t appear in both the teams for their friendly fixtures is due to the fact that, England play Hungary at Wembley next Wednesday, While the U21’s will be playing Uzbekistan just twenty four hours prior to that match.
Fabio Capello had promised and vowed to make changes to the national squad. He did so after the disappointing and rather terrible run in that England had during the FIFA World Cup 2010. The English squad was humiliated by Germany in the round of sixteen and were sent packing after losing to the Germans by a score of four goals to one.
The first of those changes appears to be the addition of the highly talented and title hungry teenager, Wilshere. He is more than certainly going to be making an appearance against Hungary if things manage to go according to the way they were planned. He could and most likely would also happen to be a great addition and a shining light for the future of the English squad.
Other younger players who could expect to be called up to play for the senior team include, Micah Richards, Lee Cattermole, Adam Johnson and Theo Walcott. All of those players were also missing from Stuart Pearce’s squad listing, indicating to the fact that they could all potentially be a part of the England senior team that faces Hungary on Wednesday.
Wilshere has been a gift to the Arsenal squad ever since he made a move to the team. He has shown maturity and the ability to read the game way beyond his years. He possesses superb technique and tremendous ball control. He can also take a more than half decent shot or two. Wilshere has also been phenomenal for Arsenal during their pre season so far. He has filled the space of Fabregas without missing a beat.
Wilshere was loaned to Bolton last season by Arsene Wenger so that he gains experience. He has managed to gain experience in abundance and faster than any one could have imagined. He plays with game with such tremendous composure and patience that it appears as though the player has been around for ages.
Wilshere could also not only be the future for the England national team but also for the Arsenal squad for the future. Considering Cesc Fabregas doesn’t quite know where his future lies and is expected to have a season not up to its normal standards. Also Aaron Ramsey who was supposed to be the future replacement for Fabregas suffered a horrific leg break last season in a match against Stoke. Which means that he is currently recovering from that potentially career ending injury.
This leave Wilshere as being the only player in the Arsenal squad at the moment who is capable of playing the role of creative midfielder in the Arsenal squad. Wenger has previously hailed Wilshere as being the best young player that he has ever managed. His praise was also followed by a statement which said that the player, Wilshere would be playing a crucial role in the Arsenal squad for the coming seasons.
