Dean Ashton thinks that Jack Wilshere’s injury has gone on to greatly impact his career and has put the midfielder in a ‘lonely place.’
The Gunners midfielder is still not nearing his return to first team football, despite having picked up an injury over a year ago.
The midfielder went on to damage the tendinitis in his knee and suffer a fracture to the knee, along with recurring ankle injuries.
Ashton has gone on to sympathise with the twenty year old and feels that he really needs to push himself, if he is to come out on top, once his injury problems come to an end.
When talking about the injury to the http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/England-c749 international, the former West Ham United player is reported to have said: “It’s a lonely place when you are out for so long.”
“You try your best to stay involved, but it’s hard to watch your team-mates train and play. Coping with the setbacks is very difficult as well.”
He then admitted that after you start picking up recurring injuries, once you near your return to the team, things start to get a little tough and you start questioning yourself and your enthusiasm to play the game any longer.
“You get so close to playing and it can be tough to find the enthusiasm to go through it all again.”
Arsene Wenger went on to confirm that the talented youngster will be out of action until October, which means that he is set to miss out on another start to the Premier League season.
The fact that he picked up his injury in a pre season friendly must really get to the player and the manager, but at this point it is probably a smarter decision to focus on the positives.
Wilshere is now going to come back stronger than ever and once he does make his return to the team, it will be like the squad just went on to sign a new player.
All in all, it is now going to be a wait till October to see just how strong the player is, when is makes his return to the squad.
