Wilson Chandler to start, Ronny Turiaf out for New York Knicks

After losing a tooth when he was elbowed by former team-mate David Lee in their previous game, Wilson Chandler is still expected to start for the New York Knicks when they take on the Minnesota
Timberwolves on Friday 12 November.

Chandler, who is averaging 17 points and 6.6 rebounds per game this season, had to undergo a 90-minute dental session after absorbing the blow from Lee, who was sidelined in Golden State
Warriors’ game on Thursday 11 November because of an infection in the elbow that hit Chandler.

“I knew he didn't try to do it,” said Chandler when asked if he felt that Lee hit him intentionally. “So when he first did it, it was no big deal. I think I got him worse than he got me.
Lee's elbow was cut down the bone, and he admitted he'll need stitches.”

Although Chandler is still scheduled for another treatment, head coach Mike D’Antoni said that the 23-year-old guard forward will have his second start this season, after coming off the bench
in their first seven games.

Timofey Mozgov, who was starting centre in the New York’s first seven games, will come off the bench for the second-straight game. Chandler will start at power forward, while Amar’e Stoudemire
will take Mozgov’s spot.

On the other hand, Ronny Turiaf is expected miss his second-straight game because he is still bothered by a sprained knee.

Turiaf, who is providing the much-needed spark from the bench for the Knicks, missed their practise on Thursday 11 November with a sprained knee, and head coach Mike D’Antoni said that the
27-year-old centre-forward will be out against the Timberwolves. “We don't know for sure, but I'm guessing yes he's out,” he said.

The Knicks are currently in three-game slump and Amar’e Stoudemire is not happy with how they started the season, although he vowed that the team would bounce back from their lacklustre 3-5
start this season. “It's definitely not fun. It is not fun. But it's a learning curve for us,” he said.
