Wilson to blitz the opposition in 66th British Bred Two Year Old Produce Stakes - Heat 1 at Swindon
Wilson is in sublime form these days, and there is no reason why he should not have a big run in the 66th British Bred Two Year Old Produce Stakes - Heat 1, taking place at Swindon on Friday, July 13th.
After doing a lot of good work at Henlow, the white and blue dog came to Swindon with a huge bang. P. Bailey’s charge made a couple of fascinating trial races before clinching a comfortable triumph last weekend.
In a 480 metres open race, the son of Ballymac Maeve sealed an emphatic victory, seizing the top position by 12½ lengths. Having grabbed such an excellent victory, the maverick hound is brimming with confidence and thus, it is quite easy to expect him to
enthral today.
Among Wilson’s opponents are: Romeo You Decide, Bubbly Swallow, Uh Oh Chongo, Hey Diego and Hedsor Tabatha. The officials are due to start the £100 meeting at 20:30 (GMT).
Uh Oh Chongo is another in-form contestant. Trained by P. Young, the blue dog completed his hat-trick last weekend, beating Fabulous Shanty by half a length in a similar race. He took a handsome lead at the third bend, and no one was able to catch him thereafter.
Since he is in very good shape these days, it is hard to overlook his chances for the top prize.
Romeo You Decide boasts a strong profile. However, luck is not on his side these days. The black dog narrowly missed the gold medal in his previous appearance at this track. It is a bit weaker opposition this time and therefore, one can expect him to get
back to the winning ways tonight.
Out of others, no one is likely to make things tricky for the aforementioned trio. Hey Diego was not impressive in his previous two outings at this venue. Hedsor Tabatha is yet to do anything special in this class. Bubbly Swallow surely needs plenty of luck
to unchain the shackles.
Romeo You Decide ran very well in defeat last time, but according to our calculations, he would not be able to outpace Wilson, who was mighty impressive last time around. Good luck to all the runners.
