Wiltshire Life favourite for Elite Racing Club Fillies´ Handicap
Wiltshire Life has got a solid chance of winning the Elite Racing Club Fillies´ Handicap at Chepstow in England on Monday, June 4, 2012. A cash prize of £2,264 will be awarded to the triumphant horse.
The going will be good to soft in the 6 furlong 16 yard race, which is scheduled to start at 17:00 GMT. A total of eight runners will be seen in action and their names are as follows: Athenian, Wiltshire Life, Little Rainbow, Ficelle, Subtle Embrace, Ida
Inkley, Molly Jones and Aquasulis.
Earlier, a total of 11 runners were likely to take part in the event, but Blodwen Abbey, Perfect Policy and Sweet Ovation will not be seen in action now. The latter of the three was in decent form and could have managed to win the race today.
Out of the remaining runners, the best chances of victory are with Wiltshire Life, who has got impressive speed. She is also carrying a decent momentum, which will help her attract a few bets from the punters.
The three-year-old filly has participated in six races until now, winning one of them. Moreover, she has also secured the third spot on a couple of occasions, which shows that she is a fierce competitor.
In her most recent outing, the Jeremy Gask’s trainee was unable to make a big impression, but still took the third place. She was not rated as the favourite back then, but was still expected to give a tough time to her opponents. However, she failed to do
so and finished way behind the leaders.
Things are expected to be different for Wiltshire Life today, as she appears to be the toughest compared to the others at Chepstow. She will be partnered by Raul Da Silva, who does not have an impressive record, but has enjoyed some success at this level.
On the other hand, the bookies seem to have more confidence in the abilities of Athenian, who has got a decent record. She has entered four events, winning one of them and managed to finish third on the same number of times.
However, the Sir Mark Prescott Bt’s trainee will have to be at her absolute best in order to challenge Wiltshire Life today.
