Wimbledon 2010 : Roger Federer Venus Williams Andy Roddick win over Bozoljac Makarova and Llodra

Well versed in the art of winning gracefully, Roger Federer tolerantly paused for his challenger to swaddle his racket into a purse, and they cruised off the grass court on the top of one another and grinning at the spectator’s long, noisy howl.

When both the players moved towards the departure area, Federer was permitted to pass the door first by Ilija Bozoljac, leaping towards the third round in the Tournament.

It has been a startlingly strenuous tour so far. After assembling from a two set dearth in his first match of the tournament, Roger Federer survived tons of stressed minutes on Wednesday before defeating Bozoljac in a 6-3, 6-7 (4), 6-4, 7-6 (5) match set.

After the match, Federer while commenting on his performance at Wimbledon said, that until the match results in the end favours the big man; he feels contented no matter how close the match came out to be while contesting on the grass court.

There is no doubt about the fact that the six times winner, Roger Federer did struggle hard to conclude the game versus the Serbian player Bozoljac who had a good amount of crowd support as well. The qualifier with his rich serves and forehand hits did manage to fight well against the tennis master who is once again seeded Number 1 in this tournament.

Federer in the post match interview praised Serbian’s style of game and said that the player who is ranked 152 in the world did play beyond his expectations however the big man at the end finished it off in style.

Federer gained almost 75 percent points of the service and aligned only thirteen spontaneous slips.

In another match, the fifth seeded Andy Roddick who is a runner up at Wimbledon for a total of three times defeated Michael Llodra in a 6-4, 6-1, 7-6 (2) match set. Roddick played pretty well by winning a total of 34 net points along with his stunning serve and volley style. Roddick only aligned a total of 11 spontaneous slips.

On the other hand, Novak Djokovic who is seeded three for Wimbledon 2010, kicked out Taylor Dent, an American tennis ace in a 7-6 (5), 6-1, 6-4 match set.

As far as the Women’s side is concerned, the Number Two seeded Venus Williams who is also the runner up of last year’s final at Wimbledon missed just 11 points during the serve and thus managed to defeat Ekaterina Makarova comprehensively in a 6-0, 6-4 match set.

The only seeded player who was defeated is Nikolay Davydenko, who was thrashed by Daniel Brands in a 7-6 (5), 7-6 (8), 6-1 match set. On the other hand, the women’s side faced the defeat of two seeded players namely Shahar Peer, who is seeded Number 13 along with seeded 33 Melanie Oudin.

The defending champion during his first match of the tournament against Falla went extremely close to losing the game however he did play better in his second round match that ended up with the similar results. Federer after the match commented that he is a little unfortunate to be examined so gravely by the junior players.

According to the court master, the junior players at times exhibit a better display of tennis as compared to the big man as they don’t feel any pressure of losing any thing in the end. Crowd feels that they are all fearful of me (Federer), but the truth of the matter is that they play more comfortably with lesser stress on the courts of tennis.

While commenting on the record longest tennis match between Isner and Mahut, Federer said that no matter how long it will take even on the second day but the match will conclude with just one winner there are no draws in the game of tennis, he added.

As far as the performance of the World Number 2 player Roger Federer is concerned, there is no doubt about the fact that he is still capable of snatching another Wimbledon title this season.
