Wimbledon to get walk of fame

Tennis stars will be recognised in a new walk of fame, to be known as the Wimbledon Way, as part of a promotional push ahead of the 2010 London Olympics. The plan is to have the handprints or footprints of the tennis elite, and their signatures, on pavement plaques in the Wimbledon area.

While the plan has been announced, there’s a little while to wait yet until the plaques are unveiled. Apparently that won’t be happening till autumn 2012.
