How do you calculate win percentage?? Example, a team has 15 wins and 13 Losses, how do I determine its winning percentage with a calculator?

lets say win = x and loss = y

x + y is 28 in this case

28 : 100 = 0,28

x : 0,28= 15 : 0,28 = x aka win = 53% point something

and y : 28 = 13 :28 = y aka loss = 46% point something

so the FORMULA is :

x : ((x+y) : 100)= x chance and

y chance is 100 - x chance

to get the total win percentage you would add the total number of games and divide by the total number of wins...

so for your question you would say...

15wins +13 losses = 28 games

15wins / 28 games = 53.6% wins

you divide the number of wins by the total number of games, for example 15 wins and 13 losses, what you do is divide 15 by the total number of games 28, and that equated to a win percentage of .536...if you are looking for the number as a percent then multiply .536 by 100 and you will have a team that wins 53.6% of their games
