The Paris Saint-Germain coach feels that despite Les Dogues dominating the Ligue 1 giants throughout the game, Les Parisiens still managed to edge out a slight yet crucial victory in their race for the league title.

The Italian tactician feels that though the team was overpowered by the visitors, Les Parisiens still managed to carve out
a win, keeping their position at the top of the league table. The coach also highlighted individual brilliance of a few players, who have ensured the Paris-based club’s dominance in the league.
The Italian feels that it was a tough game to play, even though the fact that PSG were playing at their home ground, Parc des Princes. The coach feels that the Lille-based club were a strong side defensively, and found it hard to score against them. While
explaining the situation, the 53-year-old said:
“This match was complicated for us as we were up against one of the very best sides in the league, one that was very well organised defensively.”
Ancelotti acknowledged the fact that Les Parisiens weren’t able to dominate Lille despite playing at the Parc des Princes. The coach compared the game to their previous fixture in which they featured against FC Girondins de Bordeaux, winning by a narrow
margin. The former AC Milan player went on to insist that it’s not necessary that PSG would dominate its opponents, sometimes the win comes first for the team. He stated:
“We didn't control the game and struggled to find space. We weren't fantastic but we won against a solid side, just as we did against Bordeaux. We can't always be fantastic, but when we're not we need to know how to win anyway, and that's what we did.”
The coach felt intimated by the team’s strong display in defence, despite the absence of star players such as Alex and Thiago Silva.
