  1. The number of birds killed by windturbines worldwide is something like 60,000

The number of birds killes by glass windows worldwide is in tens of millions...

Windturbines are ASKED TO GIVE STUDIES ABOUT THEIR IMPACT ON BIRDS WHICH NONE OF THE FOLLOWING HAVE TO:

    - offshore platforms

    - nuclear power plants

    - TV antennas

    - coal power plants

    - light aircrafts

    - nuclear

  2. I'm sad to say they do disturb wildlife.  I live near the Altamont Pass in California and you can read about it here....

  3. Unfortunately, yes, it does disturb our Wildlife on Earth. Birds get hurt and killed everyday from WindTurbines. Which isn't a good thing. But other than that, WindTurbines are very eco-friendly. They not only provide a lot of electricity for us to use, but it's an easier way to produce electricity instead of other ways. But I live in BC, we have water dams. =P

  4. Wind turbines used to be really hard on birds, especially migratory birds.  But as we learn we improve, and many newer models are more safe and with big wind fields they do more research now to try to assure that the least amount of wildlife is harmed.  And in the long run, polluted air will harm a lot more wildlife than wind power.

  5. Yes, they killing flying birds sometime, and when there is not wind they go back to coal which is not very environment friendly.
