Wind power converting to electric power?

how would you go about providing power for a home?

I haven't started using the wind to power my home, but I've done a lot of research on the subject.  The Poor Man's Guide to Wind Power and Battery Systems is an ebook that might tell you exactly what you need to know to tackle your project. The gentleman who wrote the book is Richard Lewis and he claims he can teach you how to how to make a 1,000 watt wind turbine for less than $150.00.
