if i have a broken blade and want to buy new ones can i buy bl.ades which rotate in a diff direction( i mean the orriginal ones rotate anti-clockwise and the oes i want to buy go clockwise) thanks .....

  1. no buy ones that go the same way the original went...

    when you build a shaft for a generator the thrust bearings are placed based on which direction the shaft is going to turn... if you flip the blades on your turbine you are changing where the thrust of the shaft is centered.. it will work for a while but eventually you are going to wipe the bearing (wiping a bearing means you have destroyed it)


  2. You need to have them either all anti-clockwise or all clockwise, it won't work if you have the rest of the blades aniti-clockwise and just one clockwise

  3. Since we don't know what your turbine looks like we can't tell you whether you can fit blades to make it run the other way.

    Try asking the manufacturer.

    The mind boggles as to why you would want to anyway ?!?!?

  4. I would assume most of these wind turbines have a good warranty, unless you've had it for many years.  I don't think you can reverse the direction, best if you check with the sales people.
