  1. we have more wind enegry.but we con't use this enegry. i think it is best.

  2. wind turbines but they arent very reliable

  3. Wind turbines are fine, but nuclear power is more dependable.

  4. nuclear power is much more productive and takes up less space overall

  5. i dink dat wind energy is better cuz it dus nt require dat much money or labour.

    it cannot get exhausted.

    whereas.

nuclear power can get xhausted pretty fast..!

  6. Wind turbines only operate over a narrow range of windspeeds and produce a set amount of electricity per revolution, they cannot cope with the peaks and troughs of electricity usage. Many countries that have a large wind contribution suffer from power cuts.

  7. Nuclear power for sure. Just imagine if we closed down all the reactors and had to quickly go to war with Spain or some other crazy nation. We'd look a bit silly if we tried to bomb them with wind. Now where did I leave that stash of Napalm?

  8. geothermal energy please

    or maybe this:

  9. Both!

You need to have a constant base line of supply of about 60% (I think, I don't have the exact figure but you'll get the idea) and this is topped up with extra supply when needed.  Our current base supply is coal and nuclear because it it take a long time to start these power stations up.  Gas turbines are used for instant supply as these can be started up as needed.   The intermitant nature of wind, a product of our erratic weather would be unable to produce a constant supply i.e. when the wind don't blow...little or no power!

I'm all for wind but we need something more reliable as well or we will be undergoing regular power cuts.  I have lived in countries that have intermitant supply and it is not fun when your freezer and refrigorator suddenly shut down and you don't know when they will come back on.  This is even more important for hospitals etc.

  10. wind

  11. well we are having 2 new nuclear power plants built right by us. I'd prefer the turbines

  12. Wind turbine is great if you are living in a small town in geographically isolated location. If we are talking about huge cities like New York or Toronto, nuclear power's the way to go.

  13. I was for wind turbines until I lost an arm in an incident involving my stunt kite, I think nuclear is much safer for kite fliers!

  14. If we could harness the wind from  blow hards like Borak Obama then we would never need oil, nuclear or any other form of energy.

  15. Nuclear, always available, more safer because people are always looking after it, and nuclear has easier availability

  16. "Cold Turning" is where wind turbines are kept going when there is no wind. Defeats the object surely?

As France relies heavily on Nuclear and exports their electricity to us, the "Nuclear Accident" argument is no reason for not having them. We should have bitten the bullet earlier in building new stations, before the old generation ones are decommissioned.

  17. Yup, wind turbines are good.

The truth is, both sources of energy are clean and safe, when handled correctly. The yield from a nuclear reactor is much, much higher though. It's these NIMBYs who are the problem, not the wind turbines. A responsible government would invest in a variety of power; offshore, solar, hydro, wind, nuclear. Shame our government isn't that.

Also, what with these homies dissing my girl? What do they gotta front? What did we ever do to these guys that made them so violent?

I have to go now, my giraffe is burning.
