  1. Just give your PC to a PC center, they'll make it for you,and don't make it yourself, you could make a critical mistake downloading sensitive program like windows

  2. ya its kinda illegal but still you can use no probs THUMBS UP

  3. I have 2 computers and both have windews xp home. I installed windows xp home with the same cd and code on both computers. No problem.

    The only thing is, you can activate your windows 3  times. After that you have to phone with microsoft (free number) to get a new activation code.

    When you are asked during the procedure, on how many computers do you have installed windows, you should answer that you only have one computer. When you tell that you installed it on 2 you are in trouble.

    I did not know, that you only can install and activate windows 3 times even when you do it on your own computer.

  4. Never mind again, yes, you'll have to buy another copy of XP. $85 at NewEgg.com http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.as... Make sure you update it when you get it to get SP3.

  5. Format the new PC and load the XP from your CD.Simple isnt it,

  6. That is not legal. You need to purchase a new copy of XP for that PC.  You can't use the code more than once..../

  7. Reformat your harddrive (wipe everything) on the vista machine and then consult your XP manual on how to install it. If you have installed XP on a machine before it should be the same thing once its reformatted.

  8. First thing you should do is make sure that XP drivers are available for your computer. You can install XP but if you don't have the drivers then you're screwed. If you do find the drivers then you can boot from your XP CD on the Vista computer and format the computer then install XP.

  9. you could do that but that would be breaking your license agreement if the XP on your old PC is an OEM license.

  10. Before you do it make sure you have downloaded the XP drivers for your computer and saved them to a CD.

    Hint rename the driver files for the device

    example 66537.zip rename to sound.zip

  11. Yes you can use the same boot disk (assuming you mean the actual Windows XP disk) provided you format the hard drive, or install to a different partition.

    Yes you can use the same code;

    HOWEVER:

    You will not be able to activate the copy of XP on your new machine as it would have already been activated before.

    Unfortunately you need to pay for a new copy to activate, or it will expire after 30 days I think it is.
