Window Replacements: Kolbe-Kolbe, Pella, or Marvin? ?

We are replacing the windows in our home & we have talked to professionals & researched on-line, but we can't determine which brand to select. Just today a contractor mentioned the brand of Kolbe-Kolbe. We were thinking of Pella Replacement Windows or Marvin Replacement Windows. Does anyone know how these three company's products stand against one another? Also, we were told to avoid Pella because with Pella you're paying for the name & the quality is equal or superior with Marvin. Anyone have experience(s) with Pella & Marvin?

  1. I personally have installed hundreds of Kas-Kel (Kason and Keller) windows and love them. However you probably can't get them, they are made in New York. Of the choices you gave I would stick with the Marvins, an excellent window.

  2. Marvin are EXCELLENT windows.  Pella are very good, depending on which ones you choose.  They have different grades.  Kolbe & Kolbe are also very good, but with the 3 choices you give, I'd go with Marvins every time.
