Window Tint? Got a Question...?

I got my windows tinited bout 3 months ago. I got 20% on my front two doors and I got 5 % on my back two doors and back glass, I did it to prevent getting pulled over, but ive decided I dont like the difference in tint on my car and want to try and balance it out. I asked what it would cost to strip old tint off and put 5% on the front 2 and it was 70 dollars so i was thinking if I put 35% on top of my 20% would that balance out to around 5% to make my car look even? Any help is appreciated!

  1. You dont really want to place tint on top of tint. 70 for the strip of the old tint and new tint in is not bad. You can also strip the tint yourself to try to save some bucks and go back to the shop and see how much they charge you just for the tint install. The tint is fairly new so stripping it off should not be a problem if you decide to do it yourself. Go to walmart get a bottle of tint off and start stripping. Shouldnt take more than an hour if you use the tint off.

  2. You can actually have a darker tint on the back windows...the front ones are the ones that can't be too dark. Hey...try it with the 2 layers...if it doesn't does...it won't cost you any more to get those taken off as it would the one layer.

  3. You know all you have to do is go to a shop and have it done to the legal requirements and there would be nothing to worry about.
