  1. cheaper to buy a new unit unless u kno someone that can do it for cheap

  2. Freon is gone.  Buy a new one.  The freon is what cools the air down, so when the freon is gone there is nothing to cool the air down, there for blowing hot air coming off of the compressor.

  3. Sounds like the freon is gone.  It would probably be cheaper to buy a new one than repair that one.

  4. is the compressor coming on?  turn the thermostat k**b all the way in both directions, can you hear it click on and off?

if not you may just need a new thermostat, if the compressor is coming on and your getting hot air i would say it's just best to buy a new unit.     turn the thermostat on and off WHILE THE UNIT IS STILL OFF.   you'll hear it click if it's still working.    you don't want to change the thermostat settings on and off while the compressor IS WORKING or you could s***w it up.

thermostat while it's off.  compressor when it's on.

    good luck to ya.

  5. A couple of things to consider. How old is the unit, and do you think it may be worth the cost of repair?

Blowing hot air could be couple of problems, starting with a bad thermostat, low on freon, or bad compressor.

You can start by a jumper on the thermostat to see if it will run, if not, it might be cost effective to invest in a new one, as today's units are more durable and cheaper to run.

Most of the time the labor cost to fix an older unit is more than the cost of a new one.
