Window closes down all of a sudden and random spam?

my brother two days ago did system restore and thus our norton, from att yahoo, needed to be reemployed onto the computer

Now how ever the window, while on the internet, is closed for no reason and we get span...

non of these two things have ever happened before so why are they occurring now?

I think your computer is going through Trojan restart virus...it shuts down windows suddenly. I was once going through the same situation....I reinstalled my windows and now i am safe.
