Windows 98 : error message " operations must use an upgradable query "?

hi

we are using an accouting software which use to run in windows 98 smoothly. After formating we have reloaded windows 98. We are not able to run the software and the error message " operations must use an upgradable query ". Would appreciate any one helping to resolve th is issue. I am an novice. Thanks and advance

I know this error in ASP.

Just give your database folder "write/delete" permission and you will solve this problem.

You probably need to re-install whatever database server it used before. Since there is no longer any support for 98, it is unlikely that it will still be available.

upgradable query means there should be access to the query, as in permissions restrictions, could also have something to do with database is it part of the accounting software or do you have to use sql with it. thats what you should be looking for in my opinion.
