Question:

Windows AVI video problems?

Okay I have Rob and Big Season 1 and 2 on my computer I got from a friend. And their AVI files. I put them on my other hard drive, along with a whole bunch of other stuff, and I formatted my computer (Cause it was a virus carneval in there).

And now with my new cleaned up computer, all my videos work, EXCEPT those. They don't play audio, or video, just a time line. I open them up on Windows Media Player 11 I think, the latest one that looks like vista.

So what should I do?

  1. Try playing them with VLC.  It has codecs installed within it and will play most anything.

WMP is very limited in the types of encoded video files that it can play.

  2. If all the other files that played were also AVI, then your ripped Season might have been damaged or is missing files. Try re-ripping it, or just downloading it again.
