Windows Explorer is not responding

Question

The program freezes up all the time and is driving me nuts. I have searched and even reinstalled and ran RegCure which I read was supposed to help this problem. It didn't. I have a Toshiba Satellite A135, S4727. I recently had to reinstall the hard drive from disk due to malware or something I encountered. I don't know is the disk does not have all the info on it or what. It came from Toshiba when I ordered it. Thank you for any help you can give me.
