I am looking for a way to respond to my email automatically using my windows live mail application when gone on a trip.

  1. Got to the Hotmail website (livemail), log in and set the Vacation Reply there, so you don't have to leave your computer running while you are away.

    http://login.live.com

    then go to Options  then

    Send automated vacation replies
