Windows Media Player 11 won't recognize my Creative Zen Micro?

I've had windows media player 11 for a while but when i plug my player into my comp it tells me i can run it faster with a faster usb port but nothing else recognizes it. I cant find it on the my computer page and it says i need to connect a device
