  1. google Winavi to mp4 converter

    it's free

  2. erightsoft make SUPER. I have used it myself for a couple of years. Its one of those anything to anything converters. I work in a radio startion and it great for changing anything. Sample rates etc etc etc.

Simple to use too (I sound like an advert)

It doesn't use just one convertor it uses many dependant on the file:

    FFmpeg , MEncoder , MPlayer , x264 , FFmpeg2theora , MusePack (mpc) , libavcodec library (compiled inside FFmpeg and MEncoder) & the theora/vorbis RealProducer's plugIn.

Its free, it will work and you won't be disappointed. Only downside is that the output folder is in program files although I have just used a desktop shortcut to get at them.
