Windows Millennium Edition antivirus help!?

Question

Our (prehistoric) pc at home has windows ME. I'm trying to find an antivirus for it but ME is too old! I have Norton on my laptop but it's not compatible with the pc, is there protection that I can download for free to keep (no trials pls) that's compatible with ME?

I have a spare PC running ME, it too needs a new anti-virus, I believe Avast works:

edit: AVG said they would stop updating for ME in August, so I don't think it works anymore, that is what is on mine, but I haven't used it for a while.

Just checked, Avast Free Edition is an option.

Try AVG free 8.0 from http://free.grisoft.com. The last time I checked it still supported 98, so it should support ME.

avg will not work with  me. Zone labs is a firewall not a antivirus so you do not want that. I think avast will still work with me.

there is AVG...That may work with ME or maybe Norton's free version not sure aboutcompatibility.

Try zonelabs.com, they have a free firewall deal for you and its not a trial.  you chose if you want to upgrade in the future and the free stuff they offer is pretty good for free.  go to the center of the screen at the bottom and click on "Trial and freeware". I know you get a good free firewall but im not sure about the antivirus
